from my understanding an 07 is only good for the rest of this year and all of next year and that came from a sales guy's mouth. as they didn't start putting the dpf filters in the 07's. yes some 07's have been retro fitted with em but not all. and from my understanding to have the truck retrofitted with a dpf filter can run 10-15 grand depending on the engine. so why not just spend a few bucks more and just get an 08 truck and the trucks with the dpf filters installed are good till 2023!! and the trucks with the def are the last engine phase well atleaste till they change there minds agin.

he would have to have that 07 retrofitted with a DPF filter if it's not already. at 10-15 grand extra depending on the engine it's just not worth the headache or expence id'e just go buy an 08 with the filter in it. but he needs to call carbs diesel hotline cause as he said that drivers with one or two trucks were excempt after talking to the dealer that story seems to be changing to. commieforina is broke they will do anything for money!!

One thing regarding CA, it is a moving target. They keep changing deadlines and such and can't seem to finalize most of the rules. They have changed deadlines so many times, that there is a possibility they will change them again. Gov Jerry Brown has finally admitted that they are essentially broke, so budgets for enforcement may not be good enough to have strict enforcement anyway. Enforcement will be random and sporadic at best. At least outside the ports, which have their own thing going on. I side with Fredog, I just stay out of there. I saved $40,000 on a brand new FL glider truck with pre-emission engine compared to one of the emission laden trucks. It would take one heck of a lot of excellent paying freight in and out of CA to justify paying more for all the emission junk and the increased maintenance costs associated with it. Not worth it to me.
