I'm glad I don't have to haul something like that. Drive safe everyone.

You have to be very careful when you are looking at an over-sized load. Not long ago, I received a call from a broker who had an over-sized load. I don't recall the rate off hand, but it sounded pretty good on the surface. When I started looking at where it would need to go it started to look a bit different. The broker had no concept of what taking the load involved. They actually thought I could take a route which is difficult to navigate for a 53' trailer with a legal load. In addition, I would need escorts in a couple of states. The broker didn't think I needed escorts, but I have done a lot of these and always check to make sure I am in compliance with local laws. When all was said and done, the load just wasn't worth the aggravation for the money being offered, by the time the escorts were factored in to the equation. It was also going to an area that I would need to deadhead out.

Magic.

Actually, I hand type all my BBcode. That's why it looks so purty, and why I have developed a reputation of using (and mis-using) quotes.
