Default Comfortguard by Onan/Cummins

This is actually sort of embarrassing since I work for a Cummins distributor but has anybody seen one of these APUs on the road?

I'm not sure if they're even released yet. I'm trying to find some info/feedback if anybody knows of this system I would appreciate some comments.

They were supposed to release it two years ago. As it stands, the big unveiling is set for MATS.

I guess that's why I couldn't find too much info about in our system.

Thanks!

Anytime 8) As I understand it, the motor will be a Kubota with an Onan generator. Doesn't Onan make the motor for their RV gensets? I was hoping it would be similar to those. Maybe I'm mistaken and Onan uses Kubotas in everything, we'll see. A buddy of mine is heading over to talk to our local Cummins rep next week about it.

OK here's what I found out today. They are actually released. Our sales department has sold about five of them already. Around $6500 and that includes all of the parts, both inside and out. It's a 4KW genset on a 2 cylinder Kubota engine(all of the Onan diesel gensets use a Kubota engine now) that can do the following:
A/C for the summer
Heater for the winter (2 heating strips depending upon need)
block heater if installed to do so
120V outlet for whatever you chose to plug in to it
and I think a battery charger(not too clear on this part) Although it would be super simple to include a battery charger in the installation
Professional installation strongly recommended which will run about $1500 or so. There is a cost/savings estimator on the web site that shows it pays for itself in about 2 years. Onan/Cummins puts the genset together and another company actually makes the evaporator/condenser part of it.
For comparison, a typical "B" class motorhome has 4KW genset.

Thanks for the update. I know Onan makes quality RV products and used to make a truck gen. I've been waiting for them to get back into the game. I'll have to check out the website.
