My new AC is getting a work out today. It's 100 out and the truck is baking in the sun. My PrePass and EZPass Velcro melted off the windshield.
I've got the roof top unit running and my Rigmaster AC and it's 72 inside the truck and that's with the whole cab opened up and not closed with the privacy curtains cutting the cab in half. The whole place is idling their trucks. No humidity so that's good. The guy next to me just checked his coolant reservoir and it's full of diesel fuel.

He's having a big problem finding a crane to rent here in Salt Lake to load the generators up so I'm not holding my breath. He already has the 2 other trucks needed to haul the other 2 generators but fears he will loose them also if he doesn't get a crane today or first thing Monday morning. . That is funny about the MinPins....just what you need a young MinPin or two to keep ya hopping!! They are great dogs and they travel well too.
Mine are happy just being at home now. You talk about velcro melting...when I first got to AZ I left a calculator in the dash of the car and it melted!! I am not used to the heat yet here....I am looking forward to WINTER!! 8) tootie

Thanks for the tip BigD but from what I was told, the generators are in a building a lot higher then the road I will be parked on loading. You can't get a truck up to the building so you have to pull along side the road down below. It's not the weight but the extension the crane has to make that requires a big one. The generator only weighs 28k.
Well, we'll see what happens this morning. I'm not sure what to do. The generator will be ready Tuesday morning but I don't want to waste a day sitting today if it's a no go for tomorrow. I guess I'll keep my truck posted and try and hold off anything definite until noon. I'm hoping I'll get an answer by then. Ya, just what I need Tootie, a hyper Mini Pin chewing on my feet at night while I sleep. I think Bandit will back me on this but if I find one hair in my truck I'll freak out. That coolant leak is back again and looks like it's coming from the water pump but really hard to tell. It hasn't happened in over 3 weeks and only leaks when the engine is stone cold? It's still freaking hot here even early in the morning. It's 80 outside and if I shut off the AC the temp inside goes up real quick. I'm thinking these trucks must hold onto a LOT of heat and cold depending on the time of year. I need a live in roommate at home. Someone who can take care of my mail, deposits and anything else that needs attention. On top of me not participating in any condo meetings or signing petitions and having the cops at my house all the time to pick up my mail, nobody talks to me anymore. The one guy who does talk to me says ya, everyone is afraid of you. He has diabetes and had his big toe cut off about 6 months ago. Do you know that you have to learn how to walk again without a big toe? It's is the one toe that is key in stabilizing you while you walk and stand. Well, maybe I'll wash windows today and Simple Green the inside. Vacuum and shampoo the carpets too. Having a real 110v vacuum cleaner is the only way to go and that spray on carpet cleaner works great. I was looking into a central vac unit that I could mount outside on the back of the sleeper but can't find one that could survive outside. That would be perfect. Then all I would have inside would be the hose when needed. Or, I could get a live in maid to travel with me. Hmmmm, I wonder who I could get for that?

You can go get one of them at the carwash. You know that thing that you put quarters in. Hell, the one in my hometown will even take a credit card. That way no one can steal the quarters. 8) Oh, and I almost forgot. Isnt there a woman prison near ya. If you want a maid that will keep it clean. I am sure they all ahve stick fingers.  I bet Bandit might even apply for the maid job you if you ask him. Anyways. Stay cool out in the heat. Have a safe trip.

It's really hard to see up there. I need to get the engine cleaned in those spots since they are covered in oil when I had my oil leak so it just looks like a giant black hole.
You stuck without a load today Rev? How's that work. Do you have to keep refreshing the Landstar load board or will an agent call you? Are there loads but you just don't want to take them? I think my Florida load fell through. Either he couldn't get a crane or he found someone else at a cheaper rate. Since it was a private company I had no rate agreement. There are tons of loads all around me, 12 trucks available within a 100 mile radius and nobody calling me. I call them and they are offering ok money to much crappier areas. Then they are offering $1.10 to Chicago and good places like that. Oh well, looks like another bottle of wine tonight and maybe I'll watch Young Frankenstein, Cars or Troy. Haven't decided yet. Freaking hot again here today. Almost 100. I've had the roof top unit on almost all day and it's keeping the truck cool. I think that's the key to keep it going early and not to shut it off.

Did you wear my dvd out? 8)
And I can't be a hobby trucker's maid. I make more money deadheading than than he does loaded Plus, I just got a new gf, so it won't fly Looks like I'm at home this week. I leave tonight for St Louis to kick off the F1 racecar at 8am then deadhead home until they find me a load. Fine with me, I could use some R&R.

Almost worn out. I particularly like that Swedish chick talking dirty in a different language. Then, if you go 4x on the speed she sounds wicked funny!!!
A new gf? We need pictures!!! Looks like I'm heading to Seattle, WA with a load on Wed so another day off watching movies and stuff. I've done pretty good up in Washington State getting long LTL's heading East so hopefully that will work out although I'm not ready to head home by any means yet. I will always take a load home if one shows up and pays OK since they are very few and far between.

Hey Steve, Bandit text me a picture of his new girlfriend and he asked me to post it on here for him. I dont know how to post it so I gave it a link name and all everyone has to do is click on the link. Sounds to me that he is really in love this time. I wish them the best of luck.
