It would be nice if I could figure out a triangle or square to run. Getting home has always been a problem but that area seems to have plenty running home at good rates so taking a beating getting out there seems to be worth it.
Fuel prices have been fairly decent out here too.

I dunno, Steve. Do you think the "hobby trucker" is starting to wear off a bit? Just an observation.

Don't worry it's ok to come out of the closet.

I think I'm taking over that job anyways.

Out a week, stay home two, out 10 days, stay home 3 weeks.

Steve, I would not go down to PA. The rates suck coming out of there. Ohio is your best bet. Try getting one going down to GA, AL, or LA. The truck to load ratio is on our side coming out of those states going back north

That's odd....I see rates going to PA for $2.00 - $3.00 every day, and rates going from PA up to the Northeast for $3.00 - $4.00 every day, since this is the only area I run. If Steve could get loads from home out to MI for $2.00 a mile, he'd have himself a nice little run going on. The reason being exactly what Big Diesel said - nobody wants to run there.

There are lots of good paying loads going to Houston, and you haven't had a thrill like I did today, driving around Houston with out traffic lights, it just don't get any better. Ike will change business for sometime, just like Katrina.

Am I a hobby trucker candidate ? I've only run 42,000 miles this year.

Rev, I should be in that TS in SC Sat night till Monday AM, holler if you bring one of those cheap loads down.

I must have missed the part of him wanting to return right back to the Northeast, I do know I could not find sh*t coming out of PA going south that paid worth a damn.

Monday I got my dad a load going from fairchance pa to new iberia la which paid $2800. That is about $2.35/mi before DH and taking a detour to spend Tuesday night in Nashville. That might be cheap freight to you though.
