I spoke too soon.
I had three inbound loads lined up for next week. First time that's happened in months. Then the broker for Monday's pickup called me this AM to say the load was canceled. It was a 1 pick 2 drop 800 mile SD load that paid $1,200. Then he offers me one that pays $960 on 600 miles. Yeah sure, like I don't know what just happened. Back to the DAT board I went and there was precious little to choose from. I think when you're all covered up it seems like there's lots of loads LOL. In the end, I managed to replace that lost load but it was pretty slim pickings. Turns out it was a better load than the canceled one. Everything happens for a reason. Last week (4-6 to 4-10-09) I couldn't catch my breath (9 loads and could've had 10 if I wanted it, for a Sat morning del.))and then this past week was dead(4 loads). I'm hoping the weather will get people out and moving and buying so next week will pick back up a little.
