although I have only been on this board for a short time I am really starting to appreciate how helpful and selfless most everyone here is, and I think steve has really outdone himself with this offer and gone over and above what is normally expected of him.

Please please, just trying to do my civic duty.
Sitting here in Kansas at a Sinclair. I thought I was in Nebraska. Having a GPS you tend to not know where you are half the time. Jill just gives you directions. I call her my Nagivator. Not sure what's going on with my load from Oklahoma to Colorado. The broker called the customer and they are taking a few 3,000 pound pallets off the load to get it way under 48,000. I put the fear of God into them telling them what I would do if I get loaded, they go home and I find out I'm overweight. I was suppose to hear yesterday from the broker but nothing and no email from him this morning either. I checked the load boards and the load is still posted so I think maybe he's trying to find someone else to take the whole thing. I have about 300 miles to go before I unload this morning and that may take a while since it requires a crane unless this place has one of those stationary cranes inside a building which I'll bet they do. Doesn't matter though, I feel that the broker has left me out in the cold by not keeping me informed so all bets are off. I'm not going to unload then dead head over a hundred miles without knowing if I have the load or not. So, I'll sit and post my truck again then I'll bet I get a call later on that I can load in an hour or something like that. I think this next load just wasn't to be, we'll see. I feel like I've already been out for 3 weeks although it's only been a week. I think the 600 mile days gets to you after a while. The place I'm going to in Oklahoma had over 900 flatbed loads available on Friday within a 100 mile radius so maybe this time I'll pick a place to go. Maybe back home to check my mail then back out again. I seem to never have a problem getting a decent load leaving my house within 50 miles.

I would like to try them, there use to be a commercial on TV at one point showing blue crab and beer and they looked awesome.

I'm sitting at the Flying J in Tulsa Oklahoma waiting to get a load. My truck is posted available for today but I doubt I'll get loaded on a Sunday but worth a shot.
I went into the restaurant for the all you can eat steak buffet. What a joke. It's not steak. It's boiled pot roast but I guess technically, it's steak right. About midnight last night I was awakened to tapping on my window. I lifted up the curtain and there was 2 huge boobs pressed against my window. There's a hooker walking around with her shirt up over her head. That's what I call marketing. I told her no thanks, my wiener was shot off during the big one. She said she was sorry and walked away. It was funny picking up my last load at the refinery in Wyoming. I said before that you don't need to worry because your not the first one to drive a truck in there. Well, I was the first. You name it and they were out there giving me directions on which way to turn. It was funny. I realized everyone loves to guide a truck in. I'm talking supervisors, managers and everyone in between. It dawned on me this time to pay attention to them. They absolutely love it. I even let them lead me into a bad spot when I knew it was wrong. They got me out and back in and they walked away congratulating one another. Me, I smile. I delivered to a custom fab shop here in Sand Springs Oklahoma. Yet another group of great people. Very friendly and even the owner out there crawling around and asking me questions about driving trucks. I tell ya, everyone loves to see a flatbed coming. HHG also I'm sure. My sister is in Florida now and it took the guy 2 days to get there although they didn't unload until the next day. I need to get a load going close to Spring Hill Florida soon so I can check her place out.

I just had steak and eggs at the Flying J. The eggs were raw and so was the steak. The toast was cold with globs of unmelted butter. I complained to the waitress and she said she would cook it herself. I got my food and the eggs were now well done and the steak was cooked until every drop of moisture was removed. Of course I had to eat everything and say what a good cook she was.......The sacrifices we men do for you women....

Steve, you need to drop your trailer and head to 41st and Yale to a place called Ricardo's. It's in a strip mall across from the Promenade Mall and it serves the best chili rellenos ever. Then you can go to Barnes and Noble or the huge theatre just down the road. Have a good day!

When I'm at home I still keep my same schedule and I'm up at 1 or 2 in the morning. I love going to Walmart and I cruise around in one of there electric chairs.
Maybe I'll do that Breezy. Sounds like fun. I love chili rellenos. I just typed in Ricardo's to my GPS and it knows how to get there. I just did my invoice for my last load, did my bills and took a nap. Kind of being a slug so I should get out. I was thinking about walking around the casino although I'm still not allowed to gamble. I did work for the gaming commission in my previous job and never turned in my license so I have to wait till it expires. It's good for 5 years. Yup, that's what I'll do and get my lazy butt going here.

Took a cab to Ricardo's and he dropped me off before I saw that it was closed on Sunday. Nothing open anywhere. Went around the corner to a Thai restaurant. They asked me how hot. I said, KILL ME. They did and now I'm dying. Real good food though!!!
