Yeh. What I really wanted to know was if it was the wind wing or the other little lower window that some trucks have. My best guess is that the name of the other window is "curb window."

I have recently been wanting to know about those curb windows. Can they still be ordered on a new truck or what? I was wondering if they stopped making them because of break-ins. I wanted to know if anyone has knowledge that they are a crime waiting to happen or if they are safe.

[quote="SteveBooth"]I must have mentioned one of my female friends before. She's a 6'2" blond that I go out with once in a while. Can't lift her over my head though Doghouse.

Yup, met Tootie and her husband last night in Denver. Had dinner and shots of tequila. Tootie got tanked but her husband drank coffee along with the evil eye from Tootie.

We had Lurch for a waiter and his side kick Elizabeth Taylor who was like 110 but still looked pretty good.

So, I have about 400 miles left to go to Albuquerque and will probably do that today and deliver first thing in the morning then off to who knows where. Could be time to make my way home for a bit but in no rush.

Thats OK,...if you can pick'em up over your head,....doesn't mean you can't be friends.
Dinner,...shots,...and the stink eye from the wife,...... somebody is in trouble

Thanks to the safety nazis they are now STANDARD on all trucks, you CANNOT order it without one.

I have never had one on any of my trucks and never missed having it.

As far as breaking in, with one of those, its easier than having the key to the truck.

From what Steve said those people had a dog too. The thief stuffed him in a storage box or something  We have 2 dogs and the male minpin is friendly to a point, but seems to be very protective of the truck and he "looks" mean.

Now Steve....you know I wouldnt give an evil eye to anyone  Lurch was cool though. We went back down to the bar last night and Bo had a beer and I had another drink and lurch was still there....

The blond lady was the only thing I could think of that rhymed at the time...I like DH's version better!!

I nominate "SteveBooth's How to be a hobby trucker for $2.00 per mile and under" as a title. :P

Maybe you should read my thread over from start to finish for some pointers if you ever get back into the business Rev. You seem to have failed at trucking and me, well, I seem to be doing pretty good. I now understand why your a little pizzed off.

.....Ignore button activated....

So anyways, Tootie was giving her hubby the evil eye because he had coffee and no real drink. Lurch and the waitress were VERY cool though. They gave me as much crap as I gave them and they were good at it. They got 20%.

I'm about 25 miles from my drop off point outside Albuquerque at the Hollywood Casino which has parking for trucks, fuel and all the other goodies. Nice place. I'm going to come here from now on when I'm in the area. It's very secluded and should be nice and quiet.

For about 100 miles this morning on Rt 25 I was bucking a head wind that must have been 40 to 50 mph. Going down some of the hills I was in 9th gear and the peddle to the metal and still losing speed.

I have to keep stopping for fuel and can only have 1/4 tank as I'm on the 80,000 mark with this load. I should have shown up with full tanks as Tootie's husband suggested. I will the next time.

Not much else to report other than time to get cleaned up, have some food then over to the casino to have a few drinks and flirt with the waitresses.

How exactly have I failed at trucking? Because I found a way to own a truck, be home on a semi-regular basis, and turn it into something even greater than a one-truck operation? If that's failing, sign me up. Oh wait - I've already signed up. Enjoy your $1.40 per mile while I'm pulling down $5800 for a whopping 1300 miles over 5 1/2 days like I am on this trip, and still managing to get home twice in the process.

What does this have to do with going from the desk to your own authority?

What a great buffet at the casino for $8.00. Played the slots, won $258.00 and left.

So much for flirting with the waitresses. They all weigh 300 pounds and as Doghouse would say, can't lift them over my head!!!
