The one thing about South Dakota, is that it's a tourist state. Lots of tourist attractions. Man, and talk about backwards, they talk funny up there. :P

Doh! I missed that part. ops:

Shhh! Let's keep that between just the two of us and let everyone else think Steve is a directionally challenged newb. Ok?

Speaking of which, he hasn't posted lately. But I doubt he's lost, probably just still at the China Buffet.

Steve, when it's this cold generally it is not slippery. The snow is quite different like you said. You will get blinded much worse, but you generally have better traction. BTW, all it takes is some stiff wind, and you're in a blizzard. Doesn't even have to be snowing. I used to drive through the dakotas a lot.

From what I've heard, they're not very good unless it's something very specialized or really needs moved ASAP.

South Dakota and backwards it'll happen.lol Talk funny, nah, you just talk to slow, and can't understand, cuz we talk too fast fer ya.

Towns few and far inbetween, completely true and getting worse, actually. I'm in SW ND, south of Hwy 12, and east of 85, basically the driest area of North Dakota. 10 minutes I'm in SD, about an hour i'm in MT, and 2 hours WY.

Had a few South Dakota kids in our North Dakota school because it was closer than closest south dakota school. They went to a country school til eighth grade. Knew them quite well since my class was only 23 students.

On my way to Nebraska with an LTL load that's just paying to run the truck. I don't feel like sitting at the piece of SH$% Flying J for any length of time. I was there once before. I drive about 50 miles up the road and stayed at the Little America Truck Stop. What a nice place. I had half a roasted chicken and cole slaw and sat in a leather chair, watched a huge LCD TV and ate my dinner. Well worth the ride. Bought some cigarettes inside and I asked for Parliements. She kept trying to give me Pall Malls. I spelled it for her 7 times and she said they didn't carry them. I was looking right at them. Other people were amazed. I realized she was like 18 or so and could not spell. I had to lead her hand with instructions.

My load is so light I'm doing 75 up and down all the roads with no problems on Rt 80. Just took a little snooze.

Got my first tip yesterday. The guy gave me $100 bucks. I kept telling him to take his time and that I had no special place to go but I think he felt bad he wasn't prepared to unload me. Nice guy for sure. Talks funny though!!!

Did my first blind side back into a parking spot that was real tight. One pull up and I was in. No broken air line either. Having trouble breaking those cheap air lines. Going to make my own with compressor hose when I get home.

Things going well and nothing out of the ordinary. I got all my Crossfire air things put on and it's real nice being able to check the pressure with just a glance and not having to fight trying to get the air hose connected to the inside tire. One of my tires has a bad leak and I have to fill it up every day but I'm going to wait till I get home to get it fixed. One place wanted me go make an appointment 4 days away to fix it. Ya right.

You can tell I'm in the boonies. Nobody talking trash or swearing on the CB. Big change from NY and PA where everyone wants to beat everyone else up.
