At best, it will take 4 to 5 days with loading, unloading, and traffic, logging it legally. And as I said, that isn't even factoring in maintenance, repairs, incidentals, or saving for a new truck. After you take all that out (remember, this is a 12 year old truck), he'd be looking at about $500 a week tops. $500 a week owning your own business = PRICELESS. Your business skills are laughable also if you think this is a good gig.

Leaves Tuesday nite(he is home all day Tue) comes back Wed nite(he is out all day Wed) Leaves Thur nite(he is home all day Thurs) Comes back Friday nite (he is out all day Fri) so he is home Sat,Sun,Mon, Tue all day(leaves at nite) Thurs all day (leaves at nite) so he is out Wed and Fridays
that is 2 days. Leaves Tues nite, lets say at 10:PM drives 550 miles @ 65 mph=8.46 Hours. Gets there at :6.45 AM unload/loaded by 10:Am. go to sleep untill 8:PM, drive back 8.45 hours, back at home 4.45:AM So it is perfectlly possible and legal to drive 2200 miles in 2 days, Law allow drivers close to terminal to drive the extra hour to complete the trip

I have being reading this board for the last year and a half, and the replays to any thing someone post are so predictable, that I already knew
what the replays would be after posting that I am only 3 years old in the trucking business, but I must be doing something good after clearing an average of $30,000.00 after all expenses, (FUEL,DRIVERS,INS,MAINT,TIRES,ETC) Per month with my 5 trucks in the last 12 months, at this time we have enough saved money to take care of anything that could happen to our trucks from:replace tires to a complete overhaul or engine exchange, damm I want to see me in 5 years,(running 20 trucks) btw we own our trailers 2:1
