I voted ISX but I have never had either of them. Closest I came was a N14 redtop, and that bug was a screamer with no maintance issues.

I would say overall tho, I'd go 6NZ Kitty for power or a pre-00 Series 60 for durability.

I have an 06 Cummins ISX rated at 500hp. Besides a faulty EGR valve that goes RIGHT after the waranty, I have been through 2 EGR coolers. It has always pulled great and did decent on MPG, but the emissions issues need to be addresseed.

I'd say the Cummins ISX although I've heard some good things about the Volvo engines. I say the ISX because I don't know that much about the Volvo.

check out jballelectronics.com they can eliminate your 'egr' from your ecm ......and also the 'dpf'

heh, I've driven several, I'm ok with them but love is a strong word, I'll take the ISX over them anyday
