Default this is to FLOORED....

HELLO,

We talked a couple months ago re: your transfer and I finally broke down and got one for myself.
Of course right in the dead of winter but couldn't pass this one up. I want to post a picture of it but am unsure how to do this computer stunt....

Did you have your baby yet?? and will you be going back to your truck or staying home with them? My kids are old enough -they say they don't need me home..Ha I just hope the house is still standing when I get home. A[/img]

Hey - congrats on your truck! I left Bob's Trucking and went with another broker, Bobs just didn't have any work to give out as they only use Teichert for jobs. Most teh drivers there are starving, I couldn't handle it. Much better off where I am now, but this past week has sucked due to the rain, oh well.

No baby yet, he's due April 2nd. This was to be my last week driving the truck, however with the weather I may have to go out next week so I can train my brother (he's been pulling flatbed 48 for the past year) how to transfer/run my rig/do paperwork. After that I plan to let him take over the "work" part for me, and possibly I will run the truck nights during the summer (and let him continue the day shift) depending on how baby is doing and whatnot.

Jan was a kick butt month for the transfers with the broker I'm at now, take home was between 8-14k. Too bad Bobs held my truck hostage so I couldn't get it to the new broker (I will admit it, I only had 1.45 hrs for the entire month of Jan).

Not sure where you plan to run your truck, but best of luck to you. WOuld love to see pics, and know what you ended up paying for it. Maybe I'll catch you out there this Summer if your ever on a night or weekend job, otherwise maybe you'll see my brother. Work this summer should be interesting, I hear Teichert is slowing WAY WAY down, so whomever you work with be sure they have more than one customer.

I'll have to take some pics of my truck with the "new" set of boxes on it, as well as posting the ones from the time the "old" set jumped the rails on me (not fun at all). Maybe I'll get to that tomorrow.

oh yeah, how to post a pic..

upload the photo onto a server (I use photobucket.com)

copy the url for the photo, it would look something like this: http://photobucket. com/mypic.jpg

then get onto this forum, and use the [img] brackets to post the pic. example

HEY,
Well it sounds like you left Bobs at the right time. I did get a sub contract from them in the mail but doubt I would ever get a call or for that matter call them. I have heard they are a bummer to work for. So you got new tubs, thats awesome and $$$. I looked into building one but that was to $$$.
how did you get them so fast I thought they were back ordered?

I would be interested working in Sac cuz I know the area but its two and half hours from here and probably wouldnt be called out like locals would. The rain has stopped everything up here too. But like you, im not paying my mortage with the work $$ -just paying for the truck and aaaallllll the ""BS"" fees and high insurance that come right along with it. Im glad you have your brother to help you I would be a nervous wreck to have to hire someone to drive. Ill try to place the pictures on this site. a

Default Floored, please tell....

Hello,
Yes do tell - about your tubs jumping track. I have heard it but never seen it or experienced this event. And WANT to avoid this happening to me. ops: .

Anywhoo, you asked about the price of truck so here goes.
1997 379 PETE- $84000.00 VERY clean inside and out. TUBs are in EXEXEXcellent shape and double lined. 520000 miles on motor that was very well maintained and have most records. Paint in exc condition too. I had to buy two steer tires. All I really need is a new CB and cd player skips, so Ill have to get a new one.
I had prev looked at a 97 pete that was thrashed for $105k ( and a couple othere) and we feel we got an excellent deal with this one concidering what was out there. Plus if , as you know if you buy a piece of sh** youll be living under it too. Leasing thru a great company that got me financed in 3 hours.
My husband has a construction company and needs a write off and dirt- win win situation. A
