LOL (hugs)

I did that to my truck too, tried to fit between my trailer and another one, and well I didn't quite fit, so when I backed up I didn't realize the edge of my bumper was caught on my trailer and sure nuff it looked just like yours does by the time I got unstuck (same side and everything). We bent it back with a backhoe that was on site when it happened leaving just the slightest little bend on the top of my bumper to remind me what not to do in the future, lol.

As if my poor bumper hadn't been through enough, my new driver managed to push my entire bumper inwards sometime last week and didn't utter a word about it to me. At least its an even push, however it would have been nice to have been told about it, along with the fact he got my truck stuck on a job site and they had to pull it out using god knows what or where (I got to find out about it from someone else, along with other "fun" details of how he's been handling my truck, bah).

:x

How you do yours in anyway?? Did you call any of those brokers yet?

Hey,
I cant believe I had to be the one to ruin a (one year old)-BRAND NEW BUMPER!! Must be a popular item to destroy. We pushed it back into the same post and it has a small wave to it but no crease. I was backing down my own driveway into the barn and was making sure I diDnt hit the home fuel tank that was on the other side and I wasnt watching my left. DAHHH.
Yes I did scratch a lil paint!!
Pissed me off n made me sick!!

I have called everyone (17 people) since monday but still slow. I had 2 hrs monday and tuesday I had tons of errands and permits to file for my huz. How am I going to work and get dinner on the table too?? haha.
People keep telling me you wont make any money until the truck is paid for. Well crap- your telling me this now?? Im glad I dont make the house payment!!

I dont know how you handle someone not telling you about their day in YOUR truck- then to find out they bent something...?? I thought your brother was going to drive for you did that fall thru?? Well hopefully the new guy gets a "new sign" and starts talken'.

Cant mess w/ woman and their trucks!! talk at ya soon...A

Use photobucket to host your photos, and when you upload there is a menu where you can get a choice of what size you want them to be. Anything between 400-600 pixels is a good size for a message forum.

Work is slow for 5% trucks. I know someone else who purchased a truck in Dec and has not worked one day yet, all the brokers tell him next month it will pick up. Right now I'm glad I lease my tubs because at least my truck has been working very good hours for the season so far.

Most brokers here (from what I have learned) work trucks in this order: Company owned trucks go out first (if they own any), then the pullers go out (those who lease the tubs) and last the 5% guys get to go out (the ones who own their own tubs). The old borker I was with I was the #27 puller, the place I'm at currently I am the #6 puller, so that plays a big part in work order as well, so you may want to call around to everyone you are working with and see where you fall on the list as far as 5% trucks go.

I'd LOVE to own a set, but right now I'm glad I'm leasing because I would have had to sell the business by now, lol.

BOL my friend =)

On a side note, if you want to meet up for coffee sometime I'm sure the other fellow I know who purchased that truck in Dec would love to join us for a chat on business. He's on the same boat as you are, maybe you can make a little support group?

Yes Coffee would be great! Ive GOT LOTS OF TIME HAHAHA. Next time Im in Sac Ill let you know. I love Ikea- I like to buy stuff there, to get organized.

I believe the Brokers work the same way up here. I drove for two others years ago and the order you mentioned is right. I dated a broker for about a year and Im glad Im not one. No life - really, married to job. No thanks.

Well as for owning a new set of tubs...just a thought $80K plus FET tax- ($2200 payment (for 5 years) on equipment ) AND you may not be #6 on a list if you do that. But ??not sure

unfortunatly right now, I cant be faithfull to anyone. I have to work for anyone and everyone I can. Im not sure how cut thoat it is just yet. I figured Id try it for a year and if its not worth it -Im out. But it was just like riding a bike again..after not driving for 10 years. Its still fun...Oh and dont let your husband weld on your trailer rails unless he moves the airbrake lines first. NEXT!!!!!
