GMAN is Da Man!
I've been a member of CAD for almost five years now and have seen quite a few questions and opinions posted on here. Questions and opinions from wet-behind-the-ears rookies all the way to five-million-mile old farts. Some of the answers and opinions I see on here fall in the smart-ass category. But one person who always gives an honest, straight-down-the-line answer and opinion is GMAN.
Anytime you want an honest answer you can bet your brand new 389 Pete that GMAN will give it to you. And you can take his opinions and answers straight to the bank. He won't BS you at all! I already know GMAN is one of those old salts with diesel fuel running in his veins that goes with the experience he has from hauling all kinds of stuff down more miles of highway and interstates than many drivers will ever see in 40 years of driving. He's been there, done that many times over in all kinds of weather. I'll close by saying if there was such a thing as a Masters Degree in trucking GMAN would have one. Maybe we should start calling him The Professor of Trucking because if everyone in this business would listen and follow his example the roads would be a lot safer and this business would be in a lot better shape. He's always sharing his experiences of driving, buying a truck, overhauling an engine, and the multitude of things that are important for every driver to know and for every driver to stay safe plus keeping it safe for everyone on the road. Thanks GMAN, you're very much appreciated by a lot of people.

You are an okay Joe too Midnight Flyer!.... but I think you miss yoopr ...as do I.
I don't know what it is about GMAN? Some say he is an autobot. Personally, I think he gets "super powers" from that blue mask. There is just no way, anyone can make that many posts, without really stepping in it a few times. (I regret every other post I make) There is something that just ain't right about GMAN, and I haven't figured it out yet.

He is definitely appreciated, and it's a shame some people seem to take his advice as "you know nothing, so I'll teach you". He just tries to hit every angle possible, he's much better at explaining things than I am. Some of the very things we take for granted, like "trucker slang", he fully explains. For some of us yes it can get boring, like watching every "ice road truckers" episode where they explain the same thing each and every episode, but it is definitely valuable to the folks that don't understand. That's why he shouldn't be taken for granted.

I figure that if someone takes the time to ask a question then it is only fair to try and give them a straightforward answer.

Many of you may not know, but here in the southeast there have been many reports about a blue masked man helping truckers along the highways. Be it help with securing a load, changing a tire or fixing a mechanical problem to get the weary trucker on his way, this mysterious man in the blue mask always seems to show up out of nowhere. Even odder is that after the work is done, the mysterious man disappears just as quickly. The only sign that he was ever there is a tire gauge left on the drivers seat.
