Default GMAN, I thought you were against leasing on to a company.

GMAN,
Going through past messages, I noticed you gave kudos to a couple who purchased a tractor and trailer, then signed on to a company in Racine, WI.
I thought you were dead against signing on to a company, Or was that just against L/P from a company?

...in fact, he was leased to CRST Malone as recently as a couple of years ago I think and has said he would consider them again under certain circumstances.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

As Bandit's cousin mentioned, there are some carrier's who pay percentage and have decent rates where an aggressive owner operator can do well. I am very much against leasing equipment from ANY carrier where you are leased. I have yet to see one which is in the best interest of the driver. Any business agreement should benefit both parties. These lease deals do little for the driver but can make the carrier a lot of money.
