Just wondering, where do you guys get so cheap health ins?
Cause my cost me almost 7 grand(me and wife), and next year suppose to jump 36%! Also, if you run NE section, be prepare to a hefty toll bill. Last year, I've paid around 6 grand, and I'm only running 80-90,000 miles a year!

I beleive he means single person policy. I'm not sure. But I know I pay around $780 a month for family coverage. That's regular insurance, not one of those protection plans you can get a lot cheaper.

It depends on where you run, what you haul and how good you negotiate. This time of year it is more difficult to get that much for every load. Getting the better rates during winter months can be something of a challenge. It takes a lot more effort to get the best rates when times are slow or freight is down. It is a cycle. Of course, if it were that easy, then we would not be having this discussion.

Wait and see what you will pay when you get to be over 60. Just before I got on Medicare, I was paying over 1200 for me and my wife. thats with a 2500 deductable and no frills. The insurance companys look at it as their last chance to suck you dry.

Those are high premiums. If you think your premiums are high now, just wait until we get national health care. If Hillary gets her way, the FREE care will cost a lot more than what you are paying now.

High rates....yes. Keep in mind all insurance companies are not created equal. When I was shoping I aked local people I know in the health field. Some companies will fight you tooth and nail to avoid paying. Read all the fine print.
I agree with you G-MAN, about Hillary. This country can not afford her.

Rev, remember I'm in NY. Rates for everything are high. I am trying to get Healthy NY coverage. It's around the $500-$600 mark. Also I have no deductable. Just my office co-pay. 5 people on mine.
