I pay $550 per month for BCBS PPO for just myself. I guess I should consider myself lucky. My old job is letting me stay on there policy just as long as I pay the premium.

Operating costs without driver income would be around 1.15 a mile if there is no truck or traler payment. With the way the rates are here in Tx it seems next to impossible to even average 1.60 a mile with any equipment. :shock: The cost of everything goes up and the rates go down. Go figure. :roll:

i'm setting here reading these messages to my wife trying to get enough courage to take the big plunge as an o/o and she hollars out "let the wife work for insurance purposes" is that a real woman or what?!!!!!!!

Thats what I do and she works for Blue Cross, Blue Shield. Tell her it will payoff in the end, whenever that is

In New Hampshire and probably other states, some companies are allowing people to insure what they call, "Their significant others" as in gay partners or live in boyfriends or girlfriends. This has become a pretty good side income for a lot of people. I know of two single women who insure a person who isn't their boyfriend or anything for $100 per month.
