I'm just wondering if any of you guys maybe on the side create your own work. I've only been doing this for a few months as a company driver (for now) but for instance next xmass I have a guy who has an empty lot on the side of the road and we talked about us buying a truckload of trees and selling them there.

So as you guys pick up and deliver frieght and see where this stuff all comes from and goes to, do you ever doing any buying and selling and transport it yourself?

Incedentally, I read that the guy who started Swift started by buying and selling some commodity and hauling it himself.

 

A friend of mine used to buy hay and haul it on his own truck. He did very well doing that.

 

Yeah,I buy groceries,and I haul them in my truck. :P

 

Yep. Trucking for somebody else sucks.
