I'm very protective of my freight. Another BCO who had been hauling this stuff for years was interviewed for some magazine recently, and not only did he give away extremely detailed info regarding where the loads originate and go to, but also gave away names of shippers, consignees, and rates.

Needless to say, he isn't hauling it anymore. The agent I deal with was extremely mad at him too.

That wasn't a very smart move for that BCO. I too would be and will be protective once I get settled in.

I was also thinking that Landstar drivers may run the same places quite often.
I see a real nice yellow flat top (379) atleast once every other week. Beside him, I see quite several Landstar trucks on HWY 82/277 from Wichita Falls to Seymour.(tx)

Talking with some Landstar drivers and from what they put out in orientation, there are agents that do have some "dedicated" accounts be it long term or short term. If the freight lanes and the rates are where the driver needs them to be, it could be a good gig.

Devil,

I had to take a short break from your post since I was out to sea. Sorry that Lonestar did not work out. I know you put alot of time and effort into it. In reading your recent posts I see some of that Navy Chief coming out.

I keep a MS Word file of little snippets of info from yourself, Rev, and alot of other O/O's and company drivers. Just a way for me to keep track of feedback and experiences, ect. Currently its up to 6 pages.....LOL...

Best of luck to you at Landstar. I see there BCO's every now and again in the Hampton Roads Virginia area.

oh yeah...haze gray and underway! Well welcome home my friend. It's funny how you mention saving snippets fom various post. I did that myself during my research.

No worries about Lone Star. I gave it a shot and tried really hard to make the best of it but it just didn't work out. I am enjoying Landstar and have no complaints thus far.

It's that time again to give my devoted fans a quick update

Since Christmas is just around the corner, I've been keeping close to home and running freight around Texas with same day or next day deliveries. All of it's been light weight, short miles, and great rates. I don't want to jinx myself, but I am making about the same $$ here that I was at my previous company but running only half as hard. That's the name of the game right?.........run as little as possible for as much revenue as possible. I have no complaints thus far with Landstar and hope I can keep my "lucky" streak going.

I am currently at home for the weekend. I loaded at the Port of Galveston this morning and will be delivering it to Laredo, TX Monday morning. If I don't get a load out of there by Tuesday, I'll DH the 150 miles home for x-mas.
