Allright guys.... Here's the latest on me... Since DD won't update...lol

Had the epidural done today in my neck. They had me lay on my chest and bring my chin to my chest. They then placed an xray machine over my neck to watch the needle as it entered just below the two bumps between my neck and upper back. They didn't show me the needle but I've heard it had to be long to get up the spine to hit my discs. I was on an IV and they stuck some knock out stuff in it. They told me I would be awake but not feel anything.

So I was out don't remember getting rolled back over and was in the recovery room before I realized it.  8)

Tommorrow I have an EMG ( nerve conduction study) to find out about the nerve in my shoulder.

So........Im thinking I will have to get retrained when I am finally released to drive.... Just don't know when that will happen.

DD.... tryin to get out of here.... My wife is about ready to kill me. I feel good, on a scale of 1 to 10 for pain and 10 being bad. I am a 0 to 1. I just don't have the strength in my left arm and everyonce in awhile pain in neck and shoulder. The improvement has just been in the last couple of weeks with physical theraphy finally happening.

What's really funny is the doctor has no clue what we do. He thinks I just drive a truck. I had to tell him the worst part would be pulling a tarp off a load or even trying to tarp the load. I didn't tell him about messing with chains. As we all know there are some many what ifs...

and no I haven't retained an attorney. I've spoken to a couple and they've told me what to look for and expect so.... that's where I am at.

Hope everything is goin good for you all... BE CAREFUL!

Paul

Bronc,

Maybe we can ask the guys at Trick My Truck to turn his purple truck into a navy ship so he feels he's back on board.

I wonder if DOT would allow a wooden ships steering wheel to be mounted in place of a truck steering wheel?

I had the nerve conduction study done today. They stuck a 3 1/2 inch needle into my left arm in all the muscle locations and jiggled the needle. There was a small guage of wire attached to the needle which he hooked to a machine and a patch that they stuck to my arm. They then shot low voltage through the needle to measure the response of the nerve. He had me flex and move the muscle with the needle inside the muscle... hmmm I wonder if that would do damage to the muscle?

Before that he was taking a small prong and zapping each nerve in my arm to guage it's reaction with electricity. Wasn't fun. :!:

Although I do not envy you having a 40' needle stuck down your spine, I am glad to hear you're feeling better. I hope that everything checks out o.k. and you're back on the road soon.

I can't believe I DH that far either   My biggest DH as an O/O has been about 200 miles. However, after my DH and Davis's cut, this load STILL pays GOOD!! Sad thing is that just last week I was only 15 miles south of this very shipper and no loads were available I was 500 miles away......go figure huh :x
