DAC keeps information on drivers that is reported by carriers. They may also pull your MVR, criminal and credit information if a carrier wants it. The main thing they track is your work history. The problem you had with the accident should not be on you DAC since you were not involved in the accident and were not driving. Still, it would be a good idea to check on it from time to time. It is like getting a copy of your credit report every so often.

I don't know the address of DAC off hand, but you should be able to do a search for either DAC or USIS and get the information you need. If I remember correctly you can download a form that enables you to order your free report from them. I believe you can order a free report each year.

I didn't think O/Ops had to worry about DAC. As GMAN said, I thought it was for carriers reporting info on company drivers. Maybe leased drivers as well?

If you are, were, an O/O leased to one of the bigger carriers, you have a DAC report floating around somewhere.

Default Petition for Dac Report Unfair Practice Against Drivers

Trucking Companies have been ruining Drivers careers by placing false information on their DAC report.

The sad part is that so many drivers don't even know that a DAC report exists about them, let alone how to obtain one.

We are working for drivers to fight against this unacceptable practice that is used many times as a retaliation tactic against a driver. Many times the information is falsely reported by an employee who does not care enough to ensure the accuracy of the information that they are reporting AGAINST the driver.

Please sign the petition and read some of the comments by DRIVERS of what FALSE INFORMATION reported on their DAC report has done to their careers.

Stop False Dac Reporting

Here is an excerpt from the petition

We the undersigned, are requesting that the U.S. Government enact legislation that will protect truck drivers from the false accusations that trucking companies and/or their employees are reporting to the DAC Services, and that a complete, fair and unbiased investigation be conducted before such report can be filed and for those who report such false claims to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Sign this petition for your fellow drivers whose lives are being ruined by the extreme difficulty or even inability to remove FALSE information from their DAC report.
It only takes less than 1 minute
