jerk. but its kinda true.

I hate to say I'm not making it. With an employee I'm not doing all that great right now, thats the honest truth. But if I didn't have that employee I probally would have pocked 4k last month for myself. So if I was driving my own rig I would be doing allright. BUt right now I don't know whats best, drive that truck myself and screw my son outta mommy time, or have the truck just pay its way and have a "job" to return to in a year.. I'll make that decision on the 25th of this month. Heck you might just see me in front of a Fedex truck again, lol!

Don't think I'm being one of those people who say you can't make it as an O/O, I know many who are making it. But what I am saying is, do it to make yourself happy, not to get rich overnight. Its a lot of work, espicaly if you are doing things legit in runing your business. I"m not getting rich, but I have the pride of owning my own truck, which that is why I got into it in the first place. I may not be rich but heck I got this big ass truck in my driveway

 

Do you regret becoming an O/O? Or if you don't regret it because you just like doing your own thing, are you saying that financially you are doing the same as if you were a company driver?

Actually nevermind. I mean I can read here that one is doing good, and the other isn't, but I'm going ahead nonetheless. I think I can make it, and if not well I'll be the first to admit it. There are many variables anyway and no two people have the same situation. One could make 50k a year and live like a king and the next could make 100k and be in debt up to their eyeballs.

Floored- You said you'd put more research into what you'd pull, what's the most versatile? End Dump, belly, double belly, transfer, 10 wheel? I'm tossing the idea around for next year and just curious. Glad to see things are looking better.
