No he's not due for anyone to smear crap all over his window. He's not a habitually litterer. I disagree with the lowest common denominator line of thinking as well. Unfortunately there are some people that need negative reinforcement. Actual consequences for their actions.

OR....

He could have SET AN EXAMPLE and cleaned up after the pig. He just stated that the guy was there, since he was yelling at him. If he would have gone over, cleaned up his mess, and let the guy see it, THAT would have set a new precedent, and then perhaps the guy would have felt guilty enough to throw his trash into the proper container the next time.
I agree with this approach also. I don't know about it being a new precedent, just for the fact that mankind has been around so long fighting over the same behaviors that I'm sure this approach has been tried and also failed before truck stop littering was an issue. But I digress.

But as it is, the guy obviously didn't get SHC's message he was trying to send, since he was ignored. So he failed. And you all praised him for it.
We don't know if it failed (I hate that word) or not. My guess is it was unsuccessful, as well as your approach probably would have been. It's almost impossible to change others behavior, they have to want to change.

I think people that have attitudes like this person are negative people, never really happy with anyone or anything. If SHC would have went over and cleaned up after this person, and let him see it, the guy probably would have thought he had a trash b!tch and scoffed at SHC.

NOPE! I didn't want to call a driver's company. I did call a driver's company. And then I cleaned up his mess. Which was a lot more effective than throwing french fries at his truck.
ok, I thought it was you. I think that's commendable as well. You did something at least. A lot of people wouldn't have.

Now, I don't know if you confronted this person and told him you called his company or not. If you didn't, some people would call that chickens**t. I wouldn't, but I won't go into the reason why.

How do we know that this Swift driver was habitual?

I didn't get an opportunity to, as the guy threw the french fries out his window as he was leaving.

Mayhem today at a nearby Truck Stop, as tensions mount over Scavenger Rights.
Newly unionized Scavengers claim any trash that hits the ground, by Contract belongs to them,
unless the item is dropped by accident, then retrieved within the 5 second rule.

Truck Stop Manager, Wayne Kerr laments;
"It's extremely hard to get these Scavengers to work here, when we have to compete with the Landfills.
We just hope we can keep the Airwing Scavengers, and not have to bring in the undocumented Hyenas.
The undocumented Hyenas work cheaper, but there are just so many unintended consequences,
however, Drivers are still so dead set against redistribution of wealth."

I think you all are missing the main objective the offending swift driver was trying to accomplish. With today's high unemployment rate, he was providing job security for the garbage picker upper.
SHC was also providing job security for the truck washers.

I will give you credit for trying to change.

I noticed I actually did agree with one or two of your posts since you came back!

Keep up the good work.

Yes, and that day the guy picking up the trash looked over worked and the truck wash bays were empty.
