why can i read where an honest man fails(has set back) yet have the same dream and expect a differant outcome? i appreciate the honesty. i guess "leased" is looking best for me (chicken at heart)!!!

looks like with this setup you will not be getting good mpg... saving 2 mpg would make a trailer payment.

Stick with onlky the big brokers.....someone...came me a list here (think Sonny) it was sage advice. Why is they will always at least pay....The one time I used a small...he burned me....never again unless 1/2 up front with no penalties....n i know they wont agree to that....better to walk away from them if you can

pepe . have you considered going flat & leasing as an o/o ? leave the headaches to others. i've done extremely well as o/o. take only what you want where you want only if it pays what you want. let the dispatch make the dozen calls & do all the paperwork. while your out you could notice all the co's write down the info & after you collect sufficient co's you can later contact them about hauling direct & use your authority then. when i used to run long & would go to a steel plant, i would notice any co that shipped out items that would go on a flat anywhere withing 50 mi of where i was loading/unloading. after writing down the names & loc. i would give to my dispatch & say if i'm in this area again here is some co's we may get set up with to have more choices to haul from.
