Default Insurance for less than 1 year experience

I recently received my own authority and got insurance through a company call Sagamore. At the time of setup, they new that I had less than a year experience. They insured me and I have been running for 2 months. I got a letter from them today saying they are going to cancel my insurance, because I don't have enough experience. Frustrated because they new this from the beginning!!!!

Besides Progressive, who only allows 300 mile radius, are there any other insurance companies that will insure me with less than 1 year of experience in Illinois?? I am not worried about cost, since I need to get insurance to keep running

Progressive is the only insurance company that I am familiar who will insure you with less than a couple of years experience. You might ask Steve Booth who he has his insurance with now. He switched from Progressive to another company.

I thought he said that he changed companies through a local insurance broker near where he lives. I think he said that he had to switch all of his personal insurance to the new company to get coverage without the mileage restriction.

I did call Progressive and they insured me, but only for 300 miles. I really need coverage for all 48 states. Does Canal insurance have coverage for less than 1 yr drivers?

That's who I did in the beginning but I went with my local agent who got me both cargo and liability through a different place.

I don't know, chrisszaw. You may want to contact them and ask. You may also want to find an insurance broker who specializes in truck insurance and see if they can find someone who will cover you.
