PWND!
NOOBCAKES! Or in the words of whatever his name is over on that other site.... "10-4! Copy that!" ....On every post!! It bears repeating. If you want a change: 1. Run compliant 2. Quit speeding 3. Reduce idling 4. Don't take cheap freight

TWF, you are barking up the wrong tree, most independents I know if not all of them run compiant, don't speed, don't idle and don't haul cheap freight. We have been doing these things since fuel went up several years ago. Look what it got us.

I've followed the alleged truck strikes every year and they all turn out to be a joke. This year, the joke is bigger than ever. I don't disagree that high fuel prices are a pain in the ass. But they should not be a pain in the ass to independents and companies who know how to run a successful business. Successful companies will adjust as needed; successful independents will adjust as well. The rest will whine pointlessly about it all the way to bankrupcy. It's all about supply and demand. As long as you have idiot 4-wheelers driving their 6 mpg Hummers and SUV's down the road at 80 MPH and bad boy BBR's running their overpriced and overpowered rigs down the road at the same speed, prices will remain where they are. After these people have lost their mode of transportation and the rest of the thinking populace have restricted and/or changed their driving habits, demand will fall, supply will rise, and prices will go back down. Economics 101. What part of this is so hard for people to understand?

well lets see i drive 65 when the speed limit is 65 and i pass a few company trucks but i get passed by o/o all nite long....? and if the o/o are not speeding then can you tell me why our 68 mph truck can't keep up with most o/o running on I-5 i know i've tried and yes we do go 57 in cal.
and if thay are so smart at making money then WHY are the driving the most fuel inefficient trucks on the road. just have to have that great big hood huh

No wrong again, I know quite a few independents. And yes I have taken Economics 101 which is actually Ecn125 along with Ecn221 micro, 225 macro, 324,328,330,421 & 428 and I can assure you sir this is not about supply and demand. This is also not about being able to run a successful business, that is being done. This is about getting raped at the pumps.
