Which kind of tractor do prefer?
I am looking at buying a Kenworth T2000 but I was just wondering what do other drivers prefer and why?

Currently i own a 96, "old stile" Volvo, bought it brand new, put 940+K, have no complains, whatsoever! But my new truck, which is due in a month, gonna be KW T600. I'm a CAT man, and they don't make Volvo with CATs anymore! Also, if you look on all this "brands", they are practicly maid from a same components, the only difference, is "shape", and service and parts avability, or, and a price! Specs, is more importend, than a brand.

I am partial to the International Eagles. I have no idea why. I like the looks, find them to be the most comfortable truck that I have driven, and just plain ol' like em.

Best truck I ever run was an 85 mack superliner sure wish they still made em. The T2000 and the new bubble petes kinda look like upside down toilet bowls their all fugly. Ifin the axles git anyfuther back up under the cab might as well be drivin a COE agin.

out of the 6 trucks I have owned in the past the best one ever was my
1987 Marmon as for the Peterbuilts no thank you I would rather drive I had 2 of them in the past and learned my lesson on the over priced truck with the room of a Geo Metro. International makes a good truck I owned a 1988 Eagle I bought it cause I was alot like my Marmon It was a Good truck. Right nhow I own a 1999 Freightliner FLD 120 I am happy with it it rides nice and is dependable and I don't need to take a second mortage out to get it fixed when something does go wrong freightliners are like a Chevy you can find all the extra parts you need laying on the sides of the freeways. as for a good truck for durability and longevity and dependabilty it would have to be a Western Star or a Kenworth W900 which in my opinion are the 2 best looking trucks on the roads today

I'll stick to my Mack B's & R's, AM general M's.
But I'll run a few IHC's Like the TransStar II's or the LoadStar 5000's. For the highway: Mack B model's & R model's. or IHC Trans Star II's. On/Off High way or heavy load's: AM General's M model's. or IHC's Load Star 5000's. But heck if it matter's too me really as long as it has 475hp KT-450 cummins with a 13spd OD tran's i'm all good.......

Vovlo is the best
I had a 2000 770 Volvo, and I now own a 2004 Volvo day cab with a 150 in sleeper. I love the Volvo. If you are a hood man, you probably don't like the looks of the truck. I will tell you one thing, they are very roomy inside and very very comfortable to drive. The cab is extremely quiet. The truck does not rattle and shake. I would buy another Volvo.

If I could have any truck on the road it would be a W900L Kenworth, equipped with a 500 hp Cat, straight 10-speed or maybe a 13-speed, 24.5 rubber, 3.36 rears, 86" studio sleeper, top end interior, power windows and door locks, keyless entry, heated power mirrors, refrigerator, factory invertor, all aluminum wheels, air slide fifth wheel, dual 150 gallon tanks. Second choice would be a T2000 Kenworth, third choice would be a tie between a Freightliner Classic XL and a Volvo 780.

I'm driving a 05 volvo 770, with the 425 volvo engine and eaton fuller 10 spd. I have been extremley happy with this truck. Excellent low range and can turn on a dime. So far have put 238k on here and the only thing that's gone wrong is the a/c went out, coolant had to be refilled.
I drove my first W900 the other day and I have to say I wasn't impressed. Truck looked fantastic on the outside, but when I got in it. Where did all my room go? Where'd the front of my truck go???? Heh Heh, But to each his own. Have a safe trip. |
