International makes a good truck I owned a 1988 Eagle I bought it cause I was alot like my Marmon It was a Good truck. Right nhow I own a 1999 Freightliner FLD 120 I am happy with it it rides nice and is dependable and I don't need to take a second mortage out to get it fixed when something does go wrong freightliners are like a Chevy you can find all the extra parts you need laying on the sides of the freeways. as for a good truck for durability and longevity and dependabilty it would have to be a Western Star or a Kenworth W900 which in my opinion are the 2 best looking trucks on the roads today FREIGHTLINER is a DODGE PRODUCT. Please do not INSULT a Chevy like that, no matter how poor or cheap they are..... I have a Freightliner Classic, and when it "grows up", it wants to be a W900L.... :lol: or a ford :shock:

which in my opinion are the 2 best looking trucks on the roads today western star the best for durability? thats funny since western stars are made the same company that builds freightliners and you think so highly of them :lol:

Yippee - Volvo is in the lead
To be accurate, you have to combine the mack and Volvo votes since Volvo bought Mack several years ago. They are produced in the same factory in Dublin, VA

I have a 99 volvo with 425 volvo engine. I do like the truck however the interior quality leaves something to be desired. Many squeeks/rattles that have to be fixed. My only complaint. There are a few design flaws with my truck(most have been cured on newer models).
But the comfort(other then the squeeks, they're easy to fix), turning radius, visibility, quietness, smoothness are almost unbeatable by any other truck.

The best built truck by far was my '89 Marmon.What a complete boob I was for selling that one,nothing on the market today comes close to it.I'm just under 6 1/2 feet tall and when I put the seat all the way back I couldn't push the clutch to the floor and it was a day cab!I drive an '05 W900L now and it's just so so in my opinion.The new engines {no matter which one you chose} are big hunks of crap.
I long for a 3408 with a 6x4 in a truck with a smooth ride. They tried to bring back the Indian motorcycle at one time hopefully someone will bring back the Marmon truck.{with better results}
