Default Landstar

Anyone ever had any problems getting paid from Landstar? I have a load at 59 days, 56 days, 49 days, 42 days.

I sent them a letter to cancel the "Notice of Assignment" on Dec 1st. I called them 3 weeks ago and they said they never got it so I sent another and they said they never got it. I sent another and they said they got it and got everything changed in their system and a check would be mailed right away. It has been over 2 weeks since I talked to them and still no check.

I will be calling first thing Monday morning and hope I don't get the runaround.

I got a check in the mail for 4 loads yesterday. I hope everything is all straightened out now and the next check comes on time.

Guess they have jumped on the same business train as other industries already do, keep the money in your bank as long as possible to gain all the interest you can before paying it out! If they really want it that bad, take us to court! Its bad business practice IMO and it goes on A LOT all over. My company has been seeing this for the last 3 years in the construction industry. You may want to discuss it with a lawyer or even make mention to them that your going to see a lawyer, make them call your bluff.

Wow! That is disturbing. I was leased to LS for 5yrs prior to deploying to Iraq in' 05. I never had an issue with pay.

I had a long discussion with a very nice lady in accounts payable at Landstar. I do 1 load a week from Landstar and now my checks are coming in right at 24 days. (Quickest from any broker I am using)

It pays to call and have a friendly discussion with who is processing your invoices.

I have not heard about any problems with Landstar paying in a timely manner. As long as all paperwork is in order you should not have a problem getting paid. You can always follow up once the paperwork has been submitted to make sure there are no problems. You can download their software and scan directly into their website. That might speed up the process of getting paid.
