Unloading for me consists of checking in at the office, opening the doors and backing into the dock. When they're done, I pull up, close the doors and leave. I "work" 15 minutes.

Whoever told you this is mistaken. "To and from" are not required at all, niether are non required lights required to work look up 393.9(a) in the green book.
