A glider kit is a new truck with rebuilt engine, transmission, etc., You can save about $30,000 over buying a new truck with a new engine and drive train. You can do a search for www.fitzgeraldgliderkits.com. This is one of the largest glider kit companies in the country.

Dealers don't seem to be buying them. I don't recall having seen any dealer who has them until a few days ago. I passed by my local dealer and they had one on display. That is the first Lone Star that I have seen them carry. They mostly sell the Pro Star's. I think that Navistar will have difficulty selling the Lone Star until they bring the price down. It is a good lucking truck that draws a lot of attention. I believe that they could sell a lot of them if they just lowered the price at or preferable lower than a Pete 389 or KW W900.

Counted 5 or 6 Lonestars headed out to Cincy this past Thursday, all of them in WV pulling loads. I'm with you GMAN, the price looks like the biggest problem which is why you see more of the Pro-Star's out there, cheaper.

I saw a Celadon company Lonestar a couple of weeks ago bobtailing on State Hwy 41 around Union City Pa. It looked like it just came off the showroom floor. Don't care much for them......yet. Maybe they'll grow on me.
