Call the shipper and have them fax a copy to the receiver. If you havn't deliever yet. If you have already delivered then call the receiver and have them fax bol, bills signed as delivered. Might make getting paid slow but you should get paid.

first ask broker if they can help in getting you a "proof of delivery" from customer
if not call recieving and ask for a "proof of delivery"
don't waste any time the sooner you call the easier it is

if you happened to have an unsigned copy

just sign it and send it in
I usually sign it Jose Rodriguez
never been questioned

Everyone has told you how to get the BOL. How do you stop the driver from losing another BOL? Tell him he isnt getting paid until he finds the money (BOL) for the load. Drivers need to understand that the paperwork is the money for the load. No BOL, no paycheck.

I once traded trailers with another driver who needed my IBP load to get home. I don't know how it happened but I lost the BOL! ops: I always put them in my metal document carrier and put them in the door but when I opened my document carrier to give the other driver the BOL, it was gone.

Called dispatch and they called IBP who was going to fax copies to the other driver. Never happened to me again and I still to this day don't understand how I could have lost them.
