If that was my stepson and he had given away one of my dogs you'd be sure I'd be wanting to string him up by his "Family Jewels". I think that says it plain and clear how I feel about someone maybe doing something like that. Drive safe everyone.

Serbie he's done me for the last time, the internet isn't big enough to tell how many chances and dollars I have spent on that idiot hoping/thinking he would change only to be disapointed yet one more time by him.
I appreciate and respect this website for allowing to post about my dog here or I would tell you how I really feel about that polecat. He isn't red-headed but he's hands down one of the worst critters on earth in my book. tackit

I put my Great Dane down on May 1st (Tuesday). It was the hardest thing I've had to do to this point in my life. My wife and I picked him up and brought him into our home in Sept,1996 and we had to drive him to the vets on Tuesday to have him put down. I cussed God for making me have to do that and then prayed he would keep him safe like we did when he was alive.
Jake was a trouble maker(much like his owner :lol, that's why I picked him out of the litter. He was picking on all the other pups, and not letting them sleep, and that trend continued through out his life, always in some kind of mischief. Anybody that came to our house fell in love with Jake almost immediately it was something to see for sure. I am going to miss his spirit around the house, it will feel empty around here for a while I guess, but time heels all wounds. So long Jake you were an awesome friend. I'm glad this thread was still here, I wouldn't have started one to write this, but it gets easier to deal with the more I talk (or write) about it, I guess it's therapeutic.

RostyC your not alone, many of us here have felt that awful pain. The pain will grow smaller over time but Jake's memory will never shrink or go away.
I lost my best bud back in 2003 and still think about him everyday. You got to remember the good times you shared with him and belive what you did was best for him, he knew it, you can bank on it. Glad the thread helped you got it out, it does help. tackit

We had a puppy we did not have long. He got really sick but we found out later he could been cured but the Vet said he had Provo, which turned out just a supper bad case of Worms. (From others that got sick same way) We had this Puppy put down and I will always remember the puppies look at us, Licked my Wifes hands and then laid his head down to allow the doctor do it.
Sadly as I said We later found out this Vet thought every dog had Provo, but none did.

Sadly as I said We later found out this Vet thought every dog had Provo, but none did. I got a bad Vet story also. We took our dog in because all of a sudden he started swelling up all over, stupid vet told us the dog was OK just give him the pills he gave us and bring him back in a week, he died on the way to the vet for his appointment of an apparent heart attack. If he would have teseted him and checked him out more on the first visit he might have caught something. tackit

I since divorced and now Living in the Philippines with my New Wife. We had her Neice living with ius for a while and her BoyFriend gave me the inpression he was giving her a Puppy, and asked my permission. Well ended up we got a Puppy.
He and a sister is the lone survivers of the littler of 6. Poor feeding by the Mommie Dog. Type of Dog is a unknown. General Mutt. When my Current wife baths him he'll promt up on a Log Bench and let her bath him. WHen I give him Water, he'll drink some then Wash his Front Paws.what I am told he is twice the size of his Surviving Sister. Besides having to leave my wife (Imagration Red Tape) behind when I come back to the States, it's going to be hard leaving him behind also.. His Name? He got it from me teasing him.. But he is Unique. His Name. Never heard anyone name their dog this, Bone Head.
