yoself = yourself. misspelled on purpose in honor of grammar day.
Yeah - I had a Chrysler 300 in that Cool Vanilla color. It looks really nice.

Of course you will use a good (Imron) epoxy based enamel for the frame.
The blue already has metal flake and pearl in the clearcoat. Looks awesome when the sun hits it. I'm contemplating making the cream color metallic as well. I didn't do it with the white when I had it painted.

I'm no fan of stacks,..but your truck would look bad with a set of 7's running up the sides.
I wouldn't go bigger than 7's, and I'd try to tuck them in as tight as possible. I don't like the way they look when they are spaced off the cab.

I was going to recommend the pearl also, and you're right about the stacks,...do you know if they are made oval? A 4by8 oval with a 45 tip would look real nice.

I suppose it would be easy enough to have the stacks made in any shape you want, as long as it went round at the bottom.

Well, it's official. After a far too long wait, my truck is finally going to be going in. The set date is May 5th. The guy at the body shop believes it will take about 2 weeks, so I am getting a 2 week vacation (not by choice). I should have my estimate for all work next week.

I gotta say this took far too long to get to this point, but in a way I am glad it did, because I made quite a few alterations along the way. The rear fenders that I am having put on didn't even exist when I first started this project. I will be posting before pics the day it goes into the shop, and will have the opportunity to stop in during the 2 weeks and get some more pictures of the truck in progress.

I just hope the estimate comes in where I need it to be. Somehow, I don't think it will.

Here is the complete list of planned changes:

-Lasalle fenders with 41 Chevy headlights (already finished and mounted)
-Squared off bumper
-Spot mirrors fabricated from a pair of 50's replacement mirrors
-Custom hood pull
-Low bowtie visor
-Horns removed from top of cab, and relocated to underside of truck
-2 bullet lights added to top of cab
-Louver style grille
-Wing replaced
-Full rear fenders, painted
-All white painted off white/cream
-All badges shaved
-Mirror brackets painted, and mirrors replaced

Here is the complete list of changes I would like to do, but don't believe I will have the ability to do at this point:

-Painted fuel tanks and air tanks
-Steps replaced with smooth, painted steps
-Air cleaners painted
-Painted wheels
-Exhaust stacks replaced with 6" stacks, painted flat black
-Door handles shaved
-Doors changed to suicide style

I'm probably leaving something out, but it's late and I'm tired.

Hey, you could get some of those stick on flowers to add a little color and that 60's look. It would add a little Woodstock to the look.

Still no pictures of this supposed truck. Little Diesel claims to have 2 trucks. Maybe he will let you play with one. Maybe even a picture.

Are you toying with the idea of renting one and running while its in the shop? I paid like $550 a week and 9cpm, but maybe it would be a good time to take a brief break and have a little vaca.

I was, but Landstar makes the process so ridiculously difficult that there is no point in doing so anymore.
