Cool lookin headlight Rev!!

Anyway to retrofit the internal reflector to a modern halogen or xenon type to take advantage of the wide field of illumination these new designs put out?

I wouldn't want to be the guy trying to line up the mounting so that they are perfectly symmetrical. That looks like a bitch!!!

Yeah, they already have the xenon headlights for them. They will be getting a complete rewiring, and will have LED turn signals on top.

I can imagine they were. They already have the mounting holes drilled through the fenders. I guess they installed the fenders on a 379 that they keep at the shop specifically for fitting parts before they began the headlights, just for that purpose.

Here are some pics of the truck as it sits now:

Mandilon is probably clutching his chest and gasping for air right about now.
Four pics of a "hood" right in a row.
With the damage it's even less fuel efficient.

You need to wash that thing Rev!

The funny thing is, I'm getting a better MPG right now than I ever have.

That's power steering fluid all over the side of the hood (from the accident). It's since been washed (that is an old picture of the damage).

BTW, if anyone has some use for a slightly bent bumper, a set of 379 headlights, or a hail damaged passenger side fender, moto-mirrors, visor, quarter fenders, or Taylor Wing, let me know. I'll let them go cheap.

I might be interested in the moto mirror. I'd like to put one on the passenger side of mine. I was looking for one that is remote control but I'm running out of room on budget.

What do have?

They are heated moto mirrors with marker lights. They work good, but have some hail dings in them (not terribly noticeable). Make me an offer. I'm keeping most of the parts that are being taken off. Here's a complete list of usable parts that I should have:

379 factory headlights (the driver's side one is slightly bent, but no cracks. Passenger side is undamaged)
Texas style bumper (still fairly straight)
Passenger side front fender (small hail dings, but they could be pounded out pretty easily)
All Peterbilt badges
Pull handle off of the hood
Moto Mirrors and spot mirrors (hail damage)
Visor (slight hail damage)
Taylor Wing (hail damage and tree damage - might be able to be pounded out)
Quarter fenders (driver's side is bent, but could easily be repaired)
Rear mudflap bracket, driver's side only
Sections of the grill surround (top section and passenger side section are undamaged)
Passenger side fender bracket (undamaged)

Make me an offer.

I was talking to a windshield guy the other day & he mentioned a truck he ran into that had a custom visor on it. It was so close to the glass they had to pull the headliner down & remove the visor before he could change the windshield. Just thought i'ld mention it.

Thanks for the heads up. I think I am going to have my glass switched out prior to dropping the truck off anyway (since I have a stone chip in the passenger side glass)

If ancient memory serves me the accident was a deer....right? If so it must of flipped under the axle to have damaged power steering area. Blech!...nice mess to clean up.
