Have you played around with the headlights at all Rev?
I'm wondering what they might look like if the light appeared to set back a little in the casement (for lack of a better word). Or something along the lines of an eyebrow, molded and painted to appear as one unit.  I might have them set into the fender a bit more than that, though. Basically create a recess in the fender where the headlight tucks into.

Thats pretty much what happened to me. She turned around and clipped my corner on the front drivers side.
