This is what the airlines are doing.
The airlines....Have they started cutting back on fuel???

They used to take on enough fuel for the trip, with a full passenger and cargo load, plus 55% for emergencies.

A United pilot guy I know told me that. Al was a pretty good pilot. He only had one bad landing.

According to CBS news they are cutting back on fuel. They interviewed a few pilots and they're not happy about it.

I worked for a lady from Atlanta Ga where I would not allowed to fill the tanks. Having more than a 1/4 of a tank was rare. Yes I ran out of fuel on the side of the road twice. Not fun, plus since the tanks was low 99.7% of the time more water in the fuel, and left me scrambling to fix the truck. I did have to use a stick to see how much fuel I had cause her fuel gauge read empty at a 1/4 of a tank.

Diesel isn't as explosive as gasoline,.....so in theory,....if you were fast enough,...a lighter could work,...but don't take my info to heart,.....my cousin only has 3 fingers on his left hand.
