I knew I could count on the wisdom of Gman for the ultimate answer. I know you were kidding. When we get that much snow it's major so pretty much everything is at a standstill. I'll probably just drive it onto the street and it should be easy to just push the snow off the side into the bank. I heard talk a few years ago about NH putting up some laser guided things that would adjust to a vans height and scrape the snow off when the drive through very slowly. Not sure what happened.

I really don't recommend running down the highway with 2 feet of snow on top of the trailer. Snow and ice can be a problem in states that have a lot of snow. Much of the problem comes from vehicles traveling too close to trucks and ice blowing off hitting the windshield of the 4 wheeler.

Thompson, Ritchie, Bell Labs, early 70's..... too many clues Steve. Can we say Unix!

Now the big question........if Bell Labs isn't embroiled in a law suit and is allowed to retain proprietary rights........do we have the whole open architecture environment today.........or do we have another Microsoft, just under a different name in the commercial/educational field.

I doubt it would have become another Microsoft. It took a visionary like Bill Gates to know that he should eat up every technology he could, and market them under one name.
