You should be able to go on line and get them. At least they will tell you how to apply. You can also call OOIDA and speak to someone in business services.

OOIDA will get you those permits, and they will fax you temp's until you get the permanents in the mail. It takes about 6 days for the NY and 10 for NM.

That's a new one on me. Last I knew, NM didn't issue temps or even accept copies of their permit. The original was the only thing accepted. I'd be curious as to how OOIDA gets those permits so fast. Guys I know here don't get theirs any faster than I do and they use permitting services. Guess I'll have to make a call

You may be right, in all the preperation to get out I forgot that it was NY and KY who issued the temp, and NM you have to wait for,...but I think the rep at OOIDA said that I could use the info for the filing to present to the weigh station and that they would either check it and let me pass or make me buy a 1 trip pass.
Don't use my info to go on,..check with an official,.....want to know how to do the brakes and wheel seals on your truck,..I'm the guy to ask

I'm probably wrong about that Pepe,...I get things like that mixed up, and with all the repairs and stuff, my mind is basically mush.

If I remember correctly, it takes several weeks to get the NM back. As I recall, it can take up to 8 weeks to get your original NM. They still do everything by hand. I believe KY takes about a week or so. I don't remember how long on the NY. It usually take a little longer when you first set up with any of them. It is easier to renew, but it still takes several weeks in NM. You don't need to renew your KY.

Yeah NM is running so long, that if you bought one, at the scales you just go in and give them your DOT# and you go thru for no additional fee.

KY was first to send me mine, then NY....noNM yet n its been almost 4-5 months.

If you have a PrePass you send a copy of your NM permit to them. I just breeze past the scales every time with a green light.
