It depends on what it is and the type of equipment needed to do the job. It also depends on whether escorts are needed. Is it 120 miles each way or round trip? The cost of permits would also need to be considered. How heavy and the size of the load would be helpful. Another consideration is escorts. The size of the load and where it needs to go also impacts whether escorts are needed.

If you are hauling the same load to the same location you may want to think about a hourly or day rate. I usually get at least $3/mile for over-sized. Short miles would need to have a higher rate. Normally, I have a minimum load rate of $700. It would depend on how difficult is is to load and unload the loads.

I just had to permit some loads thru Tenn and I thought they mentioned a 90 day permit. Might have been another state but you might want to call and ask.
I had 12 foot wide loads, less than 20K and I am getting $3.45 plus fuel, plus permits on 650 miles. Chris

Do any of you all know of a website that would be sort of a clearinghouse for oversize info for all the states? I know it's pretty difficult to figure out what you need in each jurisdiction. We have the blanket permit for Georgia and limit our OD to this state only at this time.
