Clearly not enough! I'm curious, what do warranty sheets say regarding non-oem parts?

What I could find about it pretty much mirrors what you said - non-OEM parts are acceptible, but if the manufacturer can prove that the non-OEM part caused OR CONTRIBUTED to the breakdown, then they can deny the warranty coverage.
