Long term plan is to put them up all over the state. The local paper said they were going in around Tucson but not active yet. State will not admit it but revenue projections are 100million plus a year. So forget about safety, it is about the $$$$.
The technology is speed sensors in the road rather than a radar based device.

you should see the sea of brake lights every 3/4 of a mile on loop 101. with those, it's always been about the money. they're not about safety whatsoever. all those people slamming their brakes will cause even more problems. i don't know why scottsdale even has a police force. all they do is drive around bored shitless.
