Purchasing first Semi
Hello everyone.
I am leased on to American Eagle Logistics with a Ram 3500 and a 40' mini float. Looking at moving up to a semi. Been looking at trucks for a bit. Are any of the "fleet" companies trucks worth buying? In particular I have been looking at Schneider trucks. Looking for a 2000 - 2010. Trying to stay pre emissions but those trucks are getting hard to find and financing is hard to find. Looking to keep cost about 30,000 max ( have to find a trailer also). Know there are lots of opinions out there, but any input is greatly appreciated. Are there any year, truck, motor to stay away from?

my truck is an ex ryder truck. i LOVE it. its been nothing but amazing to me. my dad's trucks were all ex fleet trucks. his personal truck was from a local OTR heavy haul. nothing but amazing luck with it. his international is an ex knight truck amazing luck with that one too. the last one he bought was an ex crete truck. truck is in amazing condition inside and out and as of today it got 7.6mpg. though today it is in frightliner due to what i think its a bad fuel line. oh the other good thing about the crete truck it has an apu and they bought a 2 year 250k extended on it. they got it from a dealer in ohio called trux and equipment. i highly recommend them.
