In my opinion, all recaps are good for is tearing stuff up.
I won't run them anymore. If I DID run them, it would be ONLY on the front axle of my spread axle flatbed. On my last trailer, the force of the blowout on the front axle broke 3 crossmembers on the frame and bent the decking up. Nope. No more recaps for me. I am sure they have their place. Just not on my truck ...
