All I can say is glad I live in small town USA
1500 sq ft 3 bedrooms family room on the back with fireplace 3 1/2 car heated garage 3 lots $36,000 in 1993 when I bought it on a 15 year loan Last year for payments for me Taxes $568 a year

Buying a house is expensive, but there are a lot of advantages. Other than the tax benefits, there is also the advantage of having your home paid for at some point. Real estate typically appreciates over time. When you retire you can always sell your home and buy an RV or live in an apartment. If you buy at the right time, you could have a decent retirement.

Areas of OC are sinking like certain areas in every county. check out San Luis Obispo, a great area, and Paso Robles Yes it is "San Luis Obispo". Visited Morro Bay and surrounding area in August, very impressive. On my list for Semi-Retirement.
