If you do use TurboTax get that Audit Guard or whatever it's called. My first year in business I got it just in case and in fact was audited. I got a good CPA (paid for by that program) out of a nice area and audit was taken care of.

How's it going Mal? I have a question on the choice board deal. How often would one have to work to be eligible to continue working off that board? Like if someone wanted to semi-retire and do maybe a load a month to cover insurance cost or even a load or 2 a quarter? Could this be done?

If you own your own truck, I don't see why you couldn't do it. Under the 'Choice' program, we have no restrictions on the amount of time we need to stay out, time off, etc. I'd give them a call. Under the 'Legacy' (dispatched, paid mileage), they limit the hometime and such. I know you wouldn't be able to lease a truck with them and do it like that because of the costs of the truck itself.

Rates are pretty wishy-washy now, and with the lower FSC and discounts from Pilot-Flying J are dropping. So, it's not going as good. Hoping to see the rates start coming back up REALLY soon.
