Yes, for any truck other than a Cascadia, there is a down-payment. On a new KW, Peterbilt or Volvo, it is $5,000. For a used one, it is $2,000. The Cascadia is no downpayment unless you specify one with a TriPac diesel apu. I do believe they said that is a $1,800 down payment. Not sure what the lease payments are with the TriPac-equipped truck, either.

They make you carry Workmans Comp?? Thats kinda BS cuz you being the owner will never be able to use it. So your paying for insurance you can never use. I know in the state of PA one man business dont have to have workmans comp.
How much is your workmans comp? I know my insurance guy quoted me 11.40 pre 100 of payroll. Since im going to be hiring a driver soon. Im looking into it.

Also what about taxes?? Do you have quarterly taxes?? My taxes are 3,200 a quarter or a 1,066/month. Since you just started im sure you dont have quarterly taxes set-up yet. But its all just another cost. Thats the cost i hate the most LOL

This should really be a non-issue. Just tell The Great Pumpkin that you'll drive your truck that hasn't been built yet to haul freight that hasn't been made yet!!

I have to call the bookkeeping service on Monday. I'm already setting aside 25% for taxes.

I've never seen an I/C that required work comp. The insurance guy laughed saying anytime you want a paid vacation you just sign the form that you can't work .

I never meant a OO that had workman's comp. Where do they come up with 35/week when it's based off your payroll?? These are the things that get iffy with these lease deals
