Here's my take on the discussion, although fuel mileage seems to be a big issue, this is not why I purchased my Pete. If I had to purchase a truck I didn't want for better fuel economy just to make ends meet I would'nt have purchased one at all. Sure you can save some cash with an aerodynamic truck, but for me it was all about what I've wanted for a long time and whatever fuel mileage I can get out of her will be sufficient for me to prosper.

Yup, your right. Buy what makes you happy, I did. I wanted an 80" Red Western Star and THAT'S what I bought and love it.

It's just an old folk lore from maritime tradition, but I would imagine it applies to any vehicle that is named
