I think it's hilarious that he couldn't make it in this business and had to go and beg for his old job back under the guise of him being so valuable to them. Now, when rates are back up, he gets the truckin' bug again and is getting set to tell us how to truck. I'm all for parking the truck when rates are down, but how a failed trucker is qualified to criticize I don't know. Anyway, Steve. No more e-mails from you Okay? With your vast computer knowledge I would have thought you could get a troll account here without harassing me.

Thanks for the flowers Hen, but I don't know anything. Matter of fact, my old ex buddy Steve Boot took the time to send an unsolicited nastygram to my e-mail account last week. As usual, he was lurking around, here, this time on that stupid Dave thread. Not sure why he attacked me personally, but he told me I was a self important know nothing and spewed a bunch of the same ol' stuff about how it doesn't cost $1/mile to run a truck.

I STILL THINK WE SHOULD ALL RALLY AND HAVE HIM COME BACK AND CONTINUE THE STORY/THREAD NOW THAT ALL THE HAPPY -TRIGGER-FINGER MODS ARE ALL GONE.This forum is too dead.Dave came and woke us up a bit but I think his Head is in wall street.

Glad to see your still doing well. Your thread was always a good read with everyone contributing. Miss reading about the daily trucking, peoplenet and fat wallet stuff, wearing shorts in snow country while drinking iced coffee. lol Serious it was neat to follow you through the credit card / no interest advice and the progression of your adventures. Do me a favor and bump that old thread back to life. You must have something interesting to share .........
Actually in July it will be three years since I got my authority. Running nine trucks now. I parted ways with my friend. That and with the freight improving, my life has become much easier. I work from home now.
I was just about to sign for 2 more units, but I'm not so sure. I have good contacts, good drivers, so I don't know what I want to do; right now it's somewhat easy. Working from home is not all that it's all cracked out to be though. To be honest I'm bored. That about sums it up; I'm bored. Starting to feel like I want to move on to something else, while I maintain these trucks (pays the bills anyway)

It would be nice to hear from some of the people that were once on here all the time like Doghouse and such. He was very thrifty with that sleeper of his. I come on here maybe once a week to see what's up. With being off the road and running local I'm not sitting around in docks looking for stuff to do like cruising around message boards and such. I'm about at my wits end with my local job though. I really miss driving around the country. I'd like to make a change but I've been holding out waiting for this one company to call me. They could call tomorrow or they could call a year from now or never. It's waiting game but it's a real good local gig if I could get in. I don't know how much longer I can wait though. I wonder if Marten would take me back for a third time ?

Rev decided to retire from CAD. I spoke with him a few days ago. He is doing well. He has a sweet deal with work and seems content.

Too bad he's chosen to bow out. I always enjoyed having Rev around. Sometimes he would instigate when no instigating was required, but all in all I think he made a valuable contribution to the board. Same thing goes for Big Diesel. Golfhobo also had some great philosophical debates (often with The Rev, and sometimes even himself) that also added to the flavor of the board. All things change. New characters will come along to regale us with new trucker tales and wow us all with vast pools of hard-learned knowledge.
