According to government statistics: >>>Union workers produce 40% LESS work than the average non-union worker.

Unions is one of the reasons this country is so messed up. For starters they are operated by ORGANIGED CRIME, -the mafia :!:

The 'union' concept is communistic, this is a FREE enterprise country, -the best system yet :!:

God Bless all

Just keep trucking for peanuts then if you dont like unions. But me i think im worth alittle more then most OTR companys pay. I am not in a union but support them 100%.

I prefer being paid on my performance. It is much more fair than working under any union contract. When you work for a union everyone is paid the same wage, regardless of their level of competence or productivity. Unions are one major reason so many manufacturing jobs have been exported to other countries. They discourage productivity and encourage mediocrity. Unions seem to lack innovative thinking. Unions sound great in principle, but if I am not happy with the wage I earn for one company, I can find another job with another company which pays more. I can also save my money and start my own business. I think that every union company where I have done business, I see more people standing around killing time than working. When I go to non-union companies, most people seem to work together and have a higher level of productivity.

I know of 3 major companies that 'up and left' due to union worker INEFFICIENCY and harasement (they like to carry BIG bats  ), one was one of, if not the major employer in this city.

What did the employees win by getting unionized :?:

About 10,000 jobs were LOST when these companies left, one-by-one.

If this city (in Texas) didn't learn THEIR lesson they never will.

I posted in another thread a friend and I observing a pair of union workers (they had to be union workers, -they moved like MOLASSES ) painting about a 6 inch stripe at the top of a building. The most appalling sight one can imagine. They were accomplishing this at about a 2 feet PER HOUR rate

Let's send/export ALL the unions to Russia, Cuba and socialist countries where individuals like MAMMA 'to take care of them,' no guts or brains to do things on their own

God Bless all (no NOT the communistic unions!)

Union or not big business bottom line is money saved and american companies have been going overseas for 50+ years---WHY. Like I said , no one union or not can compete with the labor rate overseas, add to this that american companies don't have to pay any benefits either. No don't blame it on the unions blame it on the bottom line---cheap labor. If a person is the type of person that will slack off at work they will slack off union or not, why, because this is their personality it has nothing to do with them being in a union or not. When I'm not doing that old produce deal ca. to hunts pt. or chelsea I am a union pipefitter and we run that pipe, why because we are a hard working bunch and we will out pipe anyone---bar none!

Is that why guys in the union shops where I live get threatened if they "make" the others look bad by overworking and doing more than the daily quota?

Default Hello?

I thought this was a story about Mexican trucks.

They are a THREAT to O/O operations.

Why in the world are you all getting your socks in a knot over the Teamsters?

They are speaking up for the truckers, when no one else is in the ballpark.

Get a life.
